Riga International Film Festival 2ANNAS for the first time in the festival history are showing the mid-lenght competition.

Riga International Film Festival 2ANNAS opened its 20th anniversary edition with a pomp in the Cinema Splendid Palace. The visitors truly enjoyed Buster Keaton's silent film The General (1926) with the live music composed specifically for this occasion.

Riga International Film Festival 2ANNAS takes part in the modern cultural forum White Night, kicking off September 5, with a Latvian short film programme and audiovisual performances.

Out of the 1300 submitted films, 61 have been selected for the competition. However, on the whole, 100 films will be presented as part of the focus programmes and festival showings.

2ANNAS Festival invities to a discussion about the representation of men in cinema and their social roles. The discussion will be held at Kaņepes Kultūras centrs (KKC) on 26 August at 19.00.
